Welcome to Baudin Rock Wines

Baudin Rock Wines is owned and operated by Robin and Susan Ling, whose family has been farming in the Mount Benson district since the 1860’s.

The Mount Benson wine region within the Limestone Coast of south east of South Australia is situated between the historic coastal towns of Robe and Kingston.

The Terra Rossa soils, excellent water and maritime influence make the region unique, allowing for consistent production of high quality wine.

The Baudin Rock Wines vineyard nestles high atop the hills of the Mount Benson region with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside, Wrights Bay and Guichen Bay.

To the north of Guichen Bay sits Baudins Rocks, named by Matthew Flinders on April 13 1802, after the French navigator, Nicolas Baudin, who sailed past in his ship the Le Geographe.

Baudin met Flinders in Encounter Bay and although their countries were at war, they exchanged maps and pleasantries and continued on with their exploration of the Australian Coastline.
